Background

Rebecca HobbsAfter nine years in public accounting, Rebecca joined the private sector and spent 14 years in nonprofit management. Her responsibilities included financial administration and resource development, human resources, volunteer recruitment and management, policy development and implementation, organizational and strategic planning, and board development. While in the nonprofit arena, Rebecca worked directly with clients and provided education and training in the community. She has also served as a member of the board of directors for several local nonprofit organizations.

Education

University of Maine - BS in Business, concentration in accounting

40 plus hours of continuing professional education each year in the form of programs, workshops and seminars on topics including Legal and Financial Aspects of Tax Exempt Organizations, Accounting Best Practices, Issues and Return Preparation for Tax Exempt Organizations, and Ethics.

Successfully completed the Grantsmanship Training Program
